BartkoZankel Receives Prestigious Law Technology News Award: “Most Innovative Use of Technology During a Trial”
January 2009: Law firm Bartko Zankel Tarrant & Miller announced it was awarded the 2008 Law Technology News (LTN) Award for the “Most Innovative Use of Technology during a Trial.”
The sixth annual LTN Awards recognize legal technology leaders – both in innovation and implementation. “BartkoZankel” was selected for the LTN Award as a result of a total litigation technology solution, encompassing electronic discovery, document review and analysis and trial presentation technologies which its in-house team created. The unique solution helped the firm successfully defend a client in the groundbreaking criminal antitrust trial United States of America v. Gary Swanson CR-06-0692 PJH.
BartkoZankel’s technology-focused solution provided unparalleled efficiency and drastically cut costs and saved time. The criminal antitrust trial ended in a hung jury after seven days of deliberations, and a mistrial was declared. The Justice Department announced two weeks later that it would not retry the case.
“LTN Technology Award winners are nominated and selected by actual product users, who demand solid value and performance,” said Stephen Lincoln, vice president and national group publisher for Incisive Media. “These winners can feel proud that their products and services have earned the respect and recognition of professionals throughout the industry.” View the pdf article in its entirety.
