Andrew Schwartz is Of Counsel to the firm. Some highlights of his career have been the successful litigation of a civil rights case against a local housing authority, an
intellectual property case involving a revolutionary helicopter filter design, a trade secret matter for a brokerage firm seeking to break ties with a large investment management concern, a Civil RICO case for a fish wholesaler, a business break up case for the first major U.S. caviar farming and production company, investment mismanagement arbitrations before FINRA for retirees and patient’s rights litigation for a major scientific research firm.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Schwartz practiced in his own firm, several firms in New York and California, the U.S. Government, and Bank of America. As Senior Counsel for the Bank, Mr. Schwartz obtained successful settlements in the Bank’s largest cases, including securities class actions and derivative litigation (Bank of America Securities Litigation, Security Pacific Business Litigation), The Student Loan Litigation, and the Bank of America False Claims Act Litigation. He also handled a portfolio of lender liability litigation, unfair business practice cases and fee overcharge cases.
Mr. Schwartz has represented clients in federal district courts and courts of appeals, as well as state trial courts in New York and California. He has also taken part in scores of mediations and arbitrations.
