Experience:

Jayne Laiprasert is an associate in the firm’s Business Litigation practice. Her practice covers a diverse range of business areas including patent litigation, copyright, trade secrets, antitrust, and bankruptcy.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Laiprasert practiced in San Francisco, specializing in patent litigation covering various electrical, mechanical, and chemical technologies, including memory devices, CMOS image sensors, and medical equipment. She has successfully represented clients at trial and appellate levels in federal courts and arbitration forums throughout the United States.

In addition, Ms. Laiprasert has extensive experience litigating complex commercial matters in bankruptcy law. She served as counsel to the Creditors’ Committee in Anicom, Inc. (Bankr. N.D. Ill.) and ABC-Naco, Inc. (Bankr. N.D. Ill.) and in that capacity, assisted in the prosecution of major preference campaigns and managed claims disputes. She also assisted in the representation of the American Bar Association as amicus curiae in support of the petitioner in Rompilla v. Beard, and successfully urged the United States Supreme Court to consider the ABA’s Guidelines for the Appointment and Performance of Counsel in Death Penalty Cases as evidence of prevailing professional norms.
